33% women are planning to buy crypto this year: Survey

The latest survey revealed many things about the interest of women, which are willing to get into crypto. 

Crypto adoption is surging rapidly despite huge volatility in the price of crypto assets. However huge volatility is the reason for people to buy such crypto assets but another reside these are raising concerns over the value of crypto assets of high volatility and no intrinsic value. 

The latest survey has been conducted by crypto lending platform BlockFi. According to the survey, one out of three women is planning to buy crypto assets this year. And 60% of these interested women have plans to buy in the next few months. 

The similar survey was conducted in November 2021 then at that time women were interested to buy crypto assets. This year’s interest in such women surged by around 29%, which is showing an indication that crypto moving toward awareness and adoption of this industry. 

Flori Marquez, Founder & SVP of operations of BlockFi, stated that the best way to know about crypto is to purchase them first, which will help to know the complexity of this industry. 

“There’s no better way to learn about something new than by doing — especially when diving into the seemingly complex world of crypto.”

Survey also revealed that around 25% of womes are already holding crypto assets in their investment funds. 

This survey also revealed that the majority of the women are more interested to buy Bitcoin than Dogecoin and Ethereum. 

“bitcoin, dogecoin, and ether the most — at 71%, 42%, and 18%, respectively.”

According to the survey, only 5% of women are involved and interested in NFTs and crypto mining-based activities. These things are hinting that huge awareness about the use case and significance of NFTs and mining is needed. 

An analysis also figured out that 4.1% women are founders of crypto Companies. While all others crypto companies’ founders are male.

The survey noted that 15% of women have an intrest to work in the crypto industry. But 10% have plans to work in the blockchain and crypto industry by next year. 

“It’s very exciting to know that women are becoming more aware of the benefits of owning crypto and expressing interest in working in the crypto sector…now it’s our responsibility to continue to close the education gap.”
