Justin Sun confirmed that he is officially blocked by the Ethereum Defi protocol AAVE because of his connection with the crypto mixer platform Tornado Cash.

Justin Sun is the founder of the biggest & popular Proof-of-stake (PoS) based crypto project “Tron blockchain”. Justin is also the founder of many other crypto projects & exchanges like Just swap, Sunswap, Poloniex, WinkLink (WIN), BitTorrent (BTT), etc. Tron founder is now outside of any crypto project officially but still, he is active in the Crypto Industry as a personal investor. He is currently a diplomat for Grenada.

As all of us know very well, the Tornado Cash platform has been blocked by the US Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Specially Designated Nationals And Blocked Person List (SDN). Many people are against this US sanction and many of them are in support of such a ban to prohibit illegal activities associated with cryptocurrencies.

Tron founder Justin Sun, Ethereum educator Anthony Sassano, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, and TV celebrity Jimmy Fallon received 0.1 ETH as a part of a protest against the US sanction, in support of the Tornado Cash platform.

On 13 August, Justin informed his followers that he is officially blocked by the AAVE platform because he received 0.1 ETH via the Tornado Cash platform.

Through another tweet, Justin urged people not to send Ethereum to him via Tornado Cash because he uses Defi protocols, which is not the usual case for other activists.

Update:

Around 6 hours ago, Justin Sun confirmed that his AAVE account is now unbanned by the AAVE team and he appreciated the support of  AAVE founder @stanikulechov.
