Many people are using Scott Gurney’s name to trick innocent people on Facebook for an easy crypto scam.

Scott Gurney is a financial adviser, who also guides his clients over tax savings plans. This guy is from Sydney and recently he won a $ 55 million prized lottery. Because of this big lottery win, this guy grabbed huge popularity in Sydney.

Some online bad actors created fake Facebook accounts and pretending that they are real “Scott Gurney” & he can help any person to make easy money.

Reportedly many such fake accounts easily managed to trick innocent people and secured payments in Bitcoin.

Scott Gurney officially said that all people should remain away from any kind of such account and also said that maybe you are in a bad financial position but beware of the offers & such fake ideas to make money.

Lottery winners also urged people to report the scam or fraud that they faced to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

Social media romance scam

It is not the first time that bad actors used social media platforms to deceive crypto Investors.

In the past several times it has been found that bad actors used almost all social media platforms to deceive people e.g Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & also almost all the matrimonial websites.

Usually, scammers attract crypto investors will the help of emotional & sometimes s*x chats and after that, they easily trick people to transfer funds for their short time needs, but after receiving payment they block & run away.

Last year we reported that many bad actors were operating their fake accounts on the video & photo-sharing platform Instagram. Our investigation found that more than two dozen Instagram accounts pretend to be real Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
