All the formalities and necessary strategy needed to introduce Bitcoin as a legal currency in El Salvador has been almost completed by the authorities of El Salvador. In a recent television interview, Alejandro Zelaya, finance minister of El Salvador talked about the Bitcoin adoption as a currency. And he said that Bitcoin is a totally optional mode of payment. The US dollar will still remain at number one priority.

Every business or institution which will use Bitcoin or not will not be categorised by any law. All of the business will work as earlier under the same framework.

BTC will remain “totally optional” and businesses will not be sanctioned for not using it when the country’s controversial BTC law comes into effect on Sept. 1

Probably this statement, by the finance minister of El Salvador, will close the mouth of many people and authorities who are trolling the Bitcoin law and calling it a controversial decision by Salvador’s president Nayib Bukele.

This report is cited after a recent poll report where 20% of Salvador’s citizens agreed and want Bitcoin as legal currency while 65% of the citizens don’t want to get salary paid in Bitcoin. So now people will have the option to choose any of the payment methods. It is also worth to note that already Hon’ble President Mr.Nayib Bukele said  that Bitcoin is optional and not mandatory to use. People have full freedom to choose either of the options.
