The European Union Home minister confirmed that they are open to adopt the crypto & blockchain Industry.

European Union is known as the biggest gray region for the crypto industry because in the past the crypto community in the EU saw huge ups and downs with the new rules and system, which caused huge hurdles in the space. But it seems that EU officials are now moving toward a better adaptive phase to adopt this industry.

On 19 February, during the Speaking of the Munich Security Conference 2022, European Union Commissioner for Home Affairs confirmed that they are open to adopting this industry but under a better regulation system.

The conference was also attended by popular crypto proponents like the CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, and Christian Angermayer, cofounder of the Crypto Asset Group.

However, this conference was a part of the annual discussion on international security policies and systems. But the matter goes to crypto also.

In the conference, Johansson stated that the EU is not uncomfortable with the adoption of the crypto industry but we have to adopt a very precise framework to prohibit the bad actors from this industry and stop illicit activities, which are in use because of anonymous transactions in Crypto.

Belgian MP in favor of Bitcoin adoption

Recently a Belgian MP converted his full month salary of last month into Bitcoin to increase awareness on Bitcoin and crypto. The MP claimed that the majority of the EU politicians don’t have time for this crypto industry, so through these activities, he is trying to spread awareness among citizens in the EU.

In recent months, many EU lawmakers and officials raised questions against Bitcoin mining industries in the EU and claimed that these should be banned to operate such operations, to keep pollution and power outages chances away.
