Indian Medical Association Twitter account hacked: Crypto scam

The official Twitter account of the Indian Medical Association got hacked. Hackers tried to scam IMA followers by attracting huge crypto rewards. 

Fake crypto giveaway scams are now old things but still, there are several innocent people in this world, who are not aware of such kinds of scams, and scammers are taking advantage of such people. 

Recently the official Twitter account of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) got hacked and the hacker changed the name of the account to “Elon Musk”. Scammer promised to give 5,000 BTC, 100,000 ETH, and 100,000,000 Dogecoins through a particular link. Much similar to “deposit $100, get $1,000” giveaway scam.

The president of IMA, Dr. Sahajanand Prasad Singh, said that they will take strict action against the hackers, and also hackers will see suitable consequences of such actions. 

Besides the hacking of the IMA Twitter account, Deshi Mahila Bank and the Indian Council of World Affairs also faced similar hacking attacks. 

At present all these Twitter accounts have been recovered. It is believed that all these account details got accessed by the hackers through a malicious link, which was clicked by the account handlers. 

Indian prime minister faced same hacking attack 

A few months ago, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi also faced a hacking attack, where hackers accessed the official Twitter account of Narendra Modi. 

Scammer tweeted that India officially adopted Bitcoin and also the government will distribute rewards through the giveaway. 

A few days ago, before the hacking attack, the Indian prime minister tweeted that all the democratic nations needed to work together to control the circulation of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin to go in the wrong hands to save the youngsters.
