Netherland’s agency arrests Russian crypto influencer

Netherland’s police authorities arrested a crypto businessman, who was basically from the Russian federation. Moscow confirmed the news.

Fork leg news published a report by quoting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia’s information regarding the arrest of a crypto businessman. According to the report of Fork Leg, a Netherlands agency detained a person, who is involved in the two crypto exchanges at the role of Co-founder. These two exchanges are Coyote Crypto and Eggchange exchange platforms. 

Agency detained this guy in Amsterdam. The name of the detained person is  Denis Dubnikov and he is involved in multiple crypto businesses. 

In the very beginning, this guy was held in isolation in Mexico City. But later put aboard a flight to the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, Dutch authorities arrested to proceed with the case against this person. 

However, the main action against this guy is total because of the order of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The FBI reported to these agencies to take action and detain this person. 

The CEO of the DeFi banking platform Indefibank, Sergei Mendeleev, shared details about this case on 4 Nov on Facebook. According to IndefiBank CEO, the US agency wants to find out detailed information regarding a crypto theft case that took place in 2018. FBI found that some crypto assets transactions are going through the exchange of Denis. So there are huge chances that Debis or his known were involved in that theft case. 

Few people raised issues about how other countries’ agencies can take action on a person from another country. Then Mendeleev explained that all the laws and agencies are working together locally to detain this guy. 

Reports also confirmed that there are few other cases against Denis involved in crypto money laundering. According to the report by Bloomberg, US & EU agencies are investigating the Eggchange crypto platform, in suspicion of money laundering activities.
