Suspect Of Mining operations In China , Shuts 1,360 Hydropower Plant

Authorities in Sichuan suspected that there were some mining operations going on in Sichuan. So they shut down 1,360 Electricity power plants which were fully based on hydropower energy. And now they are under investigation.

The southwestern Chinese province that was earlier a hotbed for crypto mining firms, availability of its abundant hydropower resources for that reason was better for crypto mining operations work because hydropower is a sustainable energy source. 

According to the earlier statement, the department of The Sichuan Provincial Water Resources only listed 5,131 hydro power plants to save the natural environment. 

Now in the present situation according to a report on 30 June, there are only 243 small hydropower stations in operation with full approval. While 3,528 are under full rectification. And 1,360 hydropower stations have been suspended against the allegation of mining operations under crypto ban mining law of China.

After the announcement of the China Crackdown on bitcoin/crypto mining, all the mining firms shifted to other crypto friendly countries. And the rest of them were shut down one by one. And also the government of China ordered Electricity power suppliers stations to halt the supply to these mining firms. But still there were some mining firms which were operating their business and then China’s authorities took action against them to halt their mining operations.

Well all these activities & actions are clearly showing that China’s citizens are not happy with Government decision. While Chinese government authorities claim from time to time that they want to save their environment & also they want to overcome money laundering criminal activities because of crypto use.
