Telegram Launched Gram Token Wallet for iOS
Telegram the encrypted messaging application launched wallet for its native token GRAM in alpha beta version on iOS.
Telegram reported on 26 September that the GRAM wallet is now in alpha version on iOS, however the wallet is currently running on Telegram Open Network (TON) testnet blockchain. Telegram recently launched the Telegram Open Network (TON) testnet publically.
Initially the wallet only has few basic options of creating and deleting a wallet, send or receive GRAM Tokens on the testnet.
TON labs representative Fyodor Skuratov said that the Telegram wallet designed is not complete and telegram built-in wallet may contain only the basic features. For advance features like buying and exchange of gram tokens to other cryptocurrencies may require third party application.
Telegram recently launched the TON testnet explore and node software for public in September, however the company launched a private beta testing of TON blockchain to limited global developers in April. Two anonymous testes revealed that the TON blockchain is extremely fast and can handle thousands of transaction per second.
Recently, Caymans Island-registered cryptocurrency exchange Blackmoon announced plans to list the forthcoming Gram token through a partnership with Swiss crypto custodian Gram Vault.
Bitcoinik reported earlier that telegram will start distributing GRAM Tokens before 31 October.
