18 Pro-crypto US Senators Lead Legislative Efforts: Stand with Crypto

Coinbase’s non-profit crypto advocacy group reported that a total of 18 US senators are in support of cryptocurrency adoption, while 30 Senators are against, in the US. 

Coinbase is a US-based top American crypto exchange which is currently in a very big legal conflict with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In April 2023, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong jumped against crypto haters via his non-profit Crypto advocacy group “Stand with Crypto”.

In the latest, Stand with Crypto published a list on the crypto supporters & hater US Senators and confirmed that a total of 18 US Senators support Bitcoin & crypto adoption in the US jurisdiction.

In the list of crypto supporters, Cynthia Lummis and Ted Burr are top names. Lummis currently represents a total of 8 crypto bills & so far passed 184 crypto-supportive statements.

Burr also represented 8 crypto bills & passed nearly 24 public statements to support crypto. 

Their efforts showed that they are optimistic about the future of crypto & they are doing their best to push the adoption of cryptocurrencies under proper rules & laws. 

US  Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Bill Hagerty are involved in 5 crypto bills and have made a total of 92 public statements to support crypto adoption in the US jurisdiction. 

Of the 18 crypto-friendly senators, 14 are from the Republican Party, while four are Democrats, highlighting a political divide. 

On the other hand, 30 US senators are totally against crypto adoption. In this group of crypto-hater senators, 23 Democrats, five Republicans, and two Independents. 

The “Stand with Crypto” report also highlighted that the majority of the US presidential candidates showed significant Inclination toward the cryptocurrency sector, obviously to get vote support. 

During the presidential election campaign, Independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr multiple times talked about the Crypto adoption & said that he would support bills & laws if he got elected.

On the other hand, Republican Donald Trump showed his full hate against Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), a blockchain-powered concept based centralised Cryptocurrency which aimed to degrade the future of decentralised cryptocurrencies use as well as reduce people’s power from their wealth & money. 

A very big crypto hater is Senator Elizabeth Warren. She is currently supporting a total of 3 bills which are totally against the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the US jurisdiction. So far she has passed a total of 76 public statements against cryptocurrencies.
