The Largest University Of Canada Offers Digital Diplomas Based On Blockchain Technology To Southern Alberta Institute of Technology SAIT’s Class of 2019 reported on 13 June 2019.
As per the report, the blockchain-based education marketplace ODEM (On-Demand Education Marketplace) and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) are partnered together to provide the educational study material of blockchain tech for the next graduating class of SAIT.
There will over 4,800 students in the SAIT’s class of 2019 that will be granted with blockchain-based diplomas, and they can use these diplomas to share their academic achievements directly with recruiters and potential employers worldwide.
A decentralized digital ledger based on blockchain tech will cryptographically check the validity of recipient-controlled credentials.

Last December, ODEM and SAIT already worked together where they used the blockchain of ethereum for testing the issuance system of blockchain based diploma that was a successful pilot project, and in this pilot, there were 25 graduates reportedly chosen from the Pre-Employment Automotive Service Technician program
Previously, the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada has launched the blockchain training course for graduate students.
