The Internet Giant Facebook announced the cryptocurrency wallet named as “Calibra” for its new cryptocurrency Libra reported on 18 June 2019.
Facebook introduced its first product named Calibra as a cryptocurrency wallet for the Libra coin operated on the Libra blockchain.
According to the report, Facebook is expected to launch the Calibra cryptocurrency wallet in 2020 and will also be integrated with Facebook platforms such as Messenger and WhatsApp.
Facebook claimed that their aim is to make the saving, sending and spending money as simple as possible with the new cryptocurrency wallet Calibra that allows users to save, send, and spend the Libra Currency.
Calibra will be made it possible to send Libra cryptocurrency instantly and very easily with your smartphones with approximately zero cost even from its first version release.
Facebook reported that they will also make the advance developments into the Calibra wallet to provide advanced services in order to help businesses that including paying bills with the push of a button, buying a cup of coffee with the scan of a code or riding your local public transit without needing to carry cash or a metro pass.
Facebook claimed that Calibra will provide better security and safety for your money just from its first release by using the same technology as all the banks and credit cards used for the verification and anti-fraud processes.
The report says that Calibra will use Facebook data to operate with the law, secure customers’ accounts, mitigate risk and prevent criminal activity.
Previously, Facebook published the Libra Cryptocurrency whitepaper for its Blockchain based Project.
