Lightning Labs announced the release of an alpha version of the new node monitoring tool on the lightning network named as lndmon, reported on 24 July 2019.
Lightning network is second layer blockchain protocol developed to provide high throughput for the transactions with zero transaction fees in order to make the cryptocurrencies scalable.
What is Lightning Network? How it works?
The Lightning developer Valentine Wallace reportedly said that lndmon is a flexible monitoring tool for routing node operators and other users who want to track the changes that occurred with time in their lightning channels.
And Users are able to monitor network-wide trends, such as improvements in the number of channels in order to find the best routing fee rates.
This year there were some problems that occurred with the peer-to-peer network which can be easily prevented by the node monitoring tools.
Wallace also says that “a routing node operator may want to be notified if multiple channels are closed in rapid succession or if their peer connections show signs of instability.”
Last month, Lightning Labs announced the ‘Loop In’ feature of the lightning loop on the lightning network.
Currently this month, The most popular Bitcoin wallet Electrum announced to integrate the bitcoin lightning network into its wallet services.
