Hackers use influential names & AI tech

Between 2021 to 2022, we saw that hackers tried to target innocent people in their crypto investment ponzi schemes with the help of influential names like Tesla CEO Elon Musk & Dogecoin investment scam.

In Q2 2022, a Crypto Twitter user reported that a bad actor was using Elon Musk’s clip to promote his ponzi crypto investment scheme. That Ponzi crypto investment platform creator uses an AI tool to create that video clip to show that his platform was supported by the world’s richest person. Also the video was looking 100% real but Tesla CEO officially talked about this & confirmed that the video was fake.

A report found that Chinese tech giant Tencent launched a new deepfakes creation tool. This tool allows people to create any video clip by using the face of any person, only for a $145 cost. These things are showing that AI tech can be misused at a very high level.
