Cryptopia tweeted today that they are working on the wallets and that were hacked back in January. Currently, the management team of the exchange Cryptopia calculated that they have lost 9.4 percent of the total holding stored in the cold wallets.
Cryptopia has installed new security protocols for better security of the funds. Cryptopia is ensuring to secure every wallet on the exchange. This need to be done before starting trading.
Cryptopia updated that users must stop depositing funds to the old wallets. Users must create new deposit addresses before depositing.
Cryptopia is migrating their funds to new cold wallets.
Cryptopia exchange suffered a security breach on 14 Jan. The hack lasts long for more than weeks. The hackers stole more than $16 million from thousands of Ethereum (ETH) wallets. Cryptopia exchange is in maintenance mode since then.
