Coinbase Pro United States based cryptocurrency exchange has announced support for Stellar (XLM) in their official blog post on 13 March.
Coinbase Pro is now starting deposits for the next 12 hours before start trading. Once sufficient supply of XLM is deposited on the exchange the trading is immediately started, initially, trading is started in three different pairs XLM/BTC, XLM/USD, XLM/EUR.
Trading will start in different phases, starting with deposit-only mode and post-only mode, where users can deposit XLM and post limit orders. Support for the Stellar (XLM) is added for all users with the exception of New York state’s users. Support for other users will be added later.
Recently Coinbase added support for Ripple (XRP). Ripple reacted on the listing news and was the top gainer of the day. Ripple listing was one of the most awaited news by the crypto community.
However, Diar a blockchain research firm found that Ripple is violating some rules of Coinbase. Coinbase one policy stated that the team of any cryptocurrency is holding a minority part of total coins. Ripple found holding around 60 percent that will be released according to the fixed schedule.
XLM is now trading at $0.11 and has a rank of 7 among the 2000+ cryptocurrencies. XLM has a market cap of $2.1 billion.
