‘The Room Where It Happened’,  John Bolton’s new book, accordingly this book Trump was in opposition to Bitcoin from last year’s Twitter tirade in July 2019.

Donald Trump, U.S. President his obvious disapproval expressed on Twitter regarding Bitcoin and to the administration level, told by John Bolton, the former national security advisor.

Forbes shared an article on June 18 about Bolton’s new book ‘The Room Where It Happened’ disclosed information that Trump told Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to “go after Bitcoin”.  The discussion between them was related to the trade approvals and tariffs against China in May 2018.

It’s not the first time that Trump has mentioned his disagreement with the cryptocurrency. He reached a Twitter tirade in July 2019, in which he commented on Bitcoin,“not money” and “based on thin air”. He kept criticizing Facebook’s Libra token as having “little standing or dependability”.

The Treasury Secretary supported Trump’s stand in the social broadcast considering the July 2019 tweets, informing the White House was “looking at all of the crypto assets” and eventually stating that BTC and other cryptocurrencies are used for black marketing more often than cash is.

In February 2020, Mnuchin said in an interview that he would be declaring some “significant new requirements” for cryptocurrencies with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, suggesting more mistakes by the federal government to prevent money laundering.

The temperamental Trump has also taken some resolution that may have

welfare cryptocurrency after the discussion alleged by Bolton took place. Mick Mulvaney appointed as the White House chief of staff in October 2018 by The U.S. President. Mulvaney is pro-Bitcoin and has called BTC a currency that’s “not manipulatable by any government”
