China Central Bank’s Digital Currency (CBDC) Still Not Confirmed Its Launch Date

It has been long time since China announced its own Digital currency but till now there has been no news of further update about the launch.

To this the Central Bank governor said “we need time to research”.

As per the reports on 24th of September local English news outlet Global Times reported that for now the People’s Bank of China has denied of Beijing been ready for the new digital asset.

In regards of this a publication was released that quoted “The peoples bank of China needs to research and perform certain test so as to evaluate the new currency and they are also required to take the best possible measures so as to prevent the security risk.

Till now in terms of research the firm has acquired a positive response but still they have not made any decision about the launch of the Digital currency.

As per the deputy director Mu Changchun who previously announced the launch added to the conversation that the launch may happen before 2020 along with Facebooks newly dubbed Libra Currency.

With this response from the firm it reveals that there development has accelerated in order to compete with Facebook.
