Australian Detectives Seizes $6M Worth of Bitcoin From Dark Web
The Investigation authority of Australia seized a big amount of crypto assets from the Darkweb. They seized around $9.3 million dollars of illegal properties including crypto assets.
In these days crypto crime rate is increasing rapidly and especially the Darknet is helping criminal to facilitate unfair & illegal activities like drug dealing etc. Recently Australian authorities took action on three criminals.

On 20 August, Local media of Australia reported that Australian police seized a huge amount of record breaking crypto assets for the first time.
In this case, three people were arrested. In the arrested people there is a 30-year-old man and a 31-year-old Kinglake woman. Right now, these two people are released by the police after interrogation but ordered to appear in court on 3 March 2022.
With the help of the East Gippsland Crime Investigation Unit and Bass Coast Crime Investigation Unit, the police of Victoria busted properties in Kinglake, Preston, Prahran, Dollar, and South Yarra.
Investigation authorities also seized drugs like cannabis, Psilocin, MDMA. The seizure includes two Vehicles worth $100,000. And Bitcoin is worth of $6 million dollars.
The whole seized worth of the all property including drugs, vehicles & property assets is around A$13.1 million ($9.3 million).
Victoria Police Crime Commander, Mick Frewen, stated that criminals are now much more modern and they are using modern techniques to do criminal activities.
“This is a remarkable result and one that highlights the modern nature of serious and organized crime. This is the 21st century version of drug trafficking and money laundering, with criminals using technology to enable immense amounts of community harm and misery.”
