Binance Announced Open Blockchain Project ‘Venus’ to Compete with Facebook Libra

The leading Cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced a open blockchain project named ‘Venus’. Binance Venus project is an initiative to develop localised stablecoins and digital currency pegged to fiat currencies all across the world.

Binance is looking to create new partnership with governments, cooperations, tech companies and other Cryptocurrency projects involved in larger blockchain ecosystem.

Binance blockchain is already reserved for cross border payments for secure operations of stablecoins. Binance chain was launched in April and since then a good range of stablecoins are running securely on the chain including BTC pegged stablecoin (BTCB) and binance BGBP stable coin pegged to the British Pound.

Binance will provide full technical support, risk control system to build Venus.

Binance further added that all government partners, companies and organisations with strong influence in the market are welcomed to Venus project.
