Changpeng Zhao said that Binance.US was under the target of avalanche-paid lawyers, even though it was not a rival.
On 16 August, the Cryptoleaks website published a report on behalf of a Crypto Whistleblower and noted that Avalanche & Ava Labs pays Roche Freedman, a popular law firm in the digital asset industry, to initiate legal problems against the rival crypto projects, to distract the attention of US regulatory body from Avalanche project.
The report published by Cryptoleaks includes many videos, in which allegations confirmed that Avalanche token & Ava Labs shares were paid to the law firm, in return to protect Avalanche & Ava Labs from legal actions & attacks on rival projects.
On 29 August, Emin Gün Sirer, founder & CEO of Ava Labs, responded on Twitter and claimed that all the attached evidences are baseless and also attached videos are self-serving & nonsense because Ava Labs never did such kind of unlawful activities.
On the same day, Changpeng Zhao, CEO & founder of Binance exchange, responded and said that he is not sure whether it is true or not but the videos seem not fake.
Further Zhao said that Binance is not a rival of Avalanche but still it was targeted.
It is worth noting that Roche Freedman’s legal firm filed a lawsuit against Solana’ Sol token and claimed that Sol is a security token. And also this firm filed a lawsuit against the Binance crypto exchange & claimed that it was responsible for the Collapse of Terra (LUNC) project.
The negative impact of this news can be seen on the market price of the Avax coin, which is 27% down over the last 24 hours’ trade price.
