Binance helps Hong Kong police to fight Crypto crimes

Binance crypto exchange collaborated with Hong Kong government agencies to prohibit the Crypto linked illegal activities of bad actors.

On 3 Feb 2023, Binance exchange announced that the exchange team participated in a Virtual Asset Investigation Course (VAIC) by the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) of the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF).

This program will run for 5 days and in this time frame, the Binance team will educate the Hong Kong police authority to deal with cryptocurrencies, so that police can easily investigate & trace the bad actors in the Crypto sector easily. 

Jarek Jakubcek, the head of law enforcement training at Binance, said that the better safety of the customers is the main priority of the exchange and also the exchange is committed to making the crypto ecosystem not only better but also easy for the international security agencies. 

Initially, Binance exchange started its Global Law Enforcement Training Program in 2022. To this date, Binance Exchange conducted more than 70 workshops across the world to teach security agencies to investigate crypto crime.

Hong Kong & Crypto bull run

Just a week ago, many local media reports noted that Hong Kong authorities are planning to whitelist several crypto assets to allow retail trading, which has been banned since mid-2021. 

According to a few Crypto experts, Hong Kong crypto retail trading law will act as a catalyst to bring a new bull run for this sector.
