A global crypto & bitcoin payment service Bitpay, will support Litecoin for merchants to accept payment globally.

Newegg.com is an online technology focused retailer company. According to recent report, Newegg.com become the first company in the internet world which will support Litecoin by accepting it as a payment option via Bitpay Payment gateway service.

Charlie Lee, creator of Litecoin ( LTC) stated on this matter. According to Charlie, Litecoin is very ideal & efficient for payment purposes for e-commerce companies.

“Litecoin’s fast transaction times and super low fees are ideal for an ecommerce giant like Newegg. We’re extremely excited that Litecoin is now supported by BitPay, making it very easy for any merchants to accept LTC”

So clearly here Charlie is much excited to see Litecoin at international level as a payment option. It is worth to notice that there are numbers of coins available which are far more better than litecoin e.g TRX, DogeCoin, Solana, Ada etc but here this Merchant is adopting Litecoin. Probably this is the trust of merchants with traditional blockchain technology instead to choose revolutionary assets which are in trend & hype.

Newegg.com started to accept Bitcoin in 2014 and at that time bitcoin payment mode was available for U.S & Canada like regions but after partnership alongside of Bitpay, the company established their service to accept Bitcoin payment from all over more than 73 countries in the world.

The Senior Brand Manager at Newegg, Andrew Choi stated at this decision to accept Litecoin as payment option

“The excitement and momentum around cryptocurrency are undeniable, and we are committed to making it easy for our customers to shop online.”

It is worth to notice that old global levels companies have still believe in old altcoins instead of new coins which have better efficiency & transaction speed. Probably this is influence of Bitcoin.
