Cardano ($ADA) Founder Endorses RFK and Trump, Advocates for Unity Government

In response to a recent speech by U.S. presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK), Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, expressed strong support for the messages delivered by Kennedy. Hoskinson praised the speech, noting that he addressed critical issues such as media control, corporate influence in American politics, and the Democratic Party’s perceived shift away from democratic principles.

Hoskinson pointed out that Kennedy’s approach to the election, which he described as “splitting the baby in half,” involves endorsing former President Donald Trump in battleground states while remaining on the ballot in states that have already made up their minds. This strategy, according to Hoskinson, allows voters in solidly blue or red states to cast a vote for Kennedy without affecting the overall outcome. In battleground states, where the election could go either way, he suggests Trump as the preferable choice for those who oppose the current Democratic leadership.

Hoskinson believes that the American government under a Trump administration, with Kennedy as part of the team, could bring about significant changes, including justice for the COVID-19 policies he criticises and a pro-crypto stance from the United States government. The Cardano founder fears that, without such changes, the country could face a future dominated by censorship, corporate control over government policy, and a hostile environment for the American digital assets sector.

Despite his endorsement of a Kennedy-Trump alignment, Hoskinson remains sceptical that a presidential election alone can resolve the deep-seated issues within the U.S. government. He believes that a coalition government featuring Kennedy, Trump, and other like-minded individuals could at least delay or mitigate the negative outcomes he fears.

Hoskinson also concluded by reaffirming his commitment to working with a potential Trump administration to heal the nation. Should Vice President Kamala Harris or another Democratic candidate win, he vowed to continue advocating for the principles of liberty and resilience, despite feeling that those who oppose the current Democratic leadership would be sidelined.

He called for a government that prioritises ideas, principles, and checks and balances over personalities, urging the formation of a unity government to start addressing the country’s pressing issues.

Earlier, Hoskinson and other crypto advocates opposed presidential candidate Kamala Harris. They claimed that she is only pretending to support crypto, while actually damaging the sector by backing crypto-hater policies.

Hoskinson’s remarks reflect the deep divisions within the American political landscape and the increasing involvement of influential figures from the tech and cryptocurrency sectors in shaping political discourse. As the 2024 presidential race heats up, the impact of endorsements from figures like Hoskinson could play a significant role in swaying public opinion and voter behaviour.
