World’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase launched its Crypto Debit Card in six countries of Europe reported on 11 June 2019.

Normally, the Coinbase crypto card enables customers to spend cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, ethereum, and litecoin in stores through their Coinbase accounts.

“the goal of the card is to make payments with digital currencies as seamless as paying with cash. You can buy groceries on bitcoin and then coffee on litecoin right after”

– Coinbase U.K. CEO, Zeeshan Feroz

As of the day of the announcement, the Coinbase users of Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, and the Netherlands can use the Coinbase debit card service through their Coinbase accounts.

Coinbase account holders can use the Physical Debit card on the ATMs to withdraw their fiat currencies into cash.

The Coinbase card is available in their mobile app that syncs directly with the user’s Coinbase account, and the users are open to choose any cryptocurrency in which they wanted to make a payment through the mobile app.

Previously, the Coinbase launched its Debit Card for the United Kingdom (UK) users in April, where users can use the card to pay in stores and online with cryptocurrencies.
