Crypto & stock trading on X (Twitter) is coming soon
Now the speculations around crypto & stock trading services availability on X are surging rapidly, as X launched a “Payments” account.
Elon Musk is the sole owner of the X platform. He acquired Twitter in late 2022 & further rebranded to X with the vision to bring every type of online service on the X platform e.g. assets trading, payment, goods trading, etc. So far, Musk has introduced a better monetization system to attract digital content creators on the X platform.
We recently reported that X created a new account “Payments” on the X platform, which is focused on introducing P2P payment services for the X users.
Following this development on the X platform, many people are talking about an old report of April 2023. At the time X established a partnership with an averagely popular cryptocurrency firm eToro, to provide crypto & stock trading on the X platform without leaving the app to other apps.
As we know X already earned multiple payment licences in the US, so there are huge chance that new payment services as well as financial assets trading services will start in the initial phase of rollout from the US jurisdiction.
Notably, the US jurisdiction is not crypto-friendly, as the regulatory bodies pressurise the crypto companies for their crypto services in the absence of crypto rules & laws. So there are huge chances that we will see only stock assets trading services on the X in the upcoming few years.
Tesla, Bitcoin, & controversy
In 2021, Tesla purchased Bitcoin & also started accepting Bitcoin as a payment option for its car products but later terminated Bitcoin from the payment option.
At the time, Musk faced huge criticism from the Bitcoin proponents.
Later Musk explained that Bitcoin mining causes huge pollution, so he will again adopt Bitcoin payment when 50% of Bitcoin mining operations will run on sustainable & green sources of energy.
