The Newzealand based cryptocurrency exchange Cryptopia enables ‘Cancel Order’ for all users. Cryptopia announced this by a Twitter post on 10 March.
Cryptopia users can cancel the orders that were placed before the exchange hack on 14 Jan. Users need to manually login into the exchange to cancel orders. The API keys are still disabled.
This is a good step to avoid any loss of users. Cryptocurrencies are famous for volatility. Most of the coins have changed more than 10 percent this will avoid the selling or buying of coins at high prices. This move brings Cryptopia one more step closer to the relaunch of full exchange.
Cryptopia hacked back on 14 Jan and more than $16 million are stolen from the exchange. The hack lasts long for more than two weeks. More than 10,000 Ethereum wallets are affected by the hack.
Cryptopia was reopened on 4 March in read-only mode where users can log in and view balance same as before the hack. Cryptopia advised to change the password and 2fa. The exchange management team revealed that a total of 9.8 percent of amount was lost in the hack.
