Newzealand based cryptocurrency exchange Cryptopia will reopen before the next Monday i.e before 4 March. Cryptopia officially announced that via a tweet.
Cryptopia further added that both the founder Adam Clark & Dawson back on the board. Newzealand police give permission to the exchange to start trading but Cryptopia management team analysing the funds lost and halt the platform.
Cryptopia is now ready to reopen with full powers. Cryptopia shifted to new cold wallets. Now each and every wallet is secured with new security protocols. Users need to generate new deposit addresses before depositing any funds.
Cryptopia team analysed that around 10 percent of the total holdings of cold wallets are affected in the hacks.
Cryptopia exchange was hacked on 14 Jan and the hacks last long for more than two weeks. Hackers stole more than $16 million from the exchange cold wallets. More than 10,000 Ethereum (ETH) addresses are affected by the hacks.
The Newzealand Police is investigating the Cryptopia hack. Newzealand police made a statement that they are making good progress in the investigation.
