Changpeng Zhao (CZ) shared his opinion on the future of the crypto sector, following Ripple’s victory in the XRP lawsuit against the American securities regulatory body’s unfair charges.

Changpeng Zhao (CZ) is the CEO & co-founder of the Binance crypto exchange. The services of the Binance platform are available globally directly or via subsidiaries under some jurisdictions. At the present time, BinanceUS, the independent American subsidiary of the Binance exchange, is facing several charges, initiated by America’s top two financial regulators namely the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Recently Binance published a blog post to share CEO’s opinion ahead of the future growth of the crypto sector. CZ said that the Decentralised Finance (Defi) sector will continuously surge in the world and in the incoming 5-6 years it will surpass the Centralized Finance (Cefi) sector.

According to CZ, the Defi sector is evolving rapidly and Defi engineers are integrating the Defi products with Crypto & blockchain networks so that all the people can easily hold their funds in self-custody and also all those people can easily access financial products, which are not getting financial access in the traditional financial sector.

CZ noted that Institutional players are now entering the crypto sector with big plans. He said that big players like BlackRock, Citadel, Fidelity, etc are entering this sector with better planning and they will further create a better path for other institutional investors to invest in this sector.

“As institutional investors own the majority of the equity market, with hundreds of trillions of dollars, even a single digit % conversion into crypto will easily multiply the size of the current crypto market.” CZ wrote.

According to the Binance CEO, regulated crypto exchanges will continuously grow and crypto regulatory efforts will also increase. Furthermore, he said that the current situation is not much good for the crypto sector from the point of view of regulatory framework in some countries but steps to bring crypto regulatory framework are on the path in several countries.
