Billy Markus claimed that currently active meme coins projects are not meme coins, instead, they are misleading projects to make money for themselves.
Billy Markus is a past Dogecoin developer and he is no longer in this project but he remains active in the crypto industry to promote Dogecoin and crypto adoption. Billy always remains ready to explain to the newcomers to this industry about the actual significance of Dogecoin use.
On 23 February, Billy Markus wrote on Twitter that many projects are trying to grab the attention of Tesla CEO Elon Musk through their misleading promotions & promises.
“spam advertising, lying about who is involved in a project, making up ridiculous promises, desperately trying to get Elon’s attention to promote you, etc. are not clever or amusing.”
Billy also asserted that Dogecoin took birth around 8 years ago to make fun of the idiotic coins. While current meme coins are not memes because current meme crypto projects want to grab money from investors to become rich but here Dogecoin is different.
Billy also noted that the majority of the BSC (Binance Smart chain) based tokens are scams. He tried to hint that creating a coin and list on the BSC network is just a matter of a few clicks and people are taking advantage of it to create their meme coins.
Further added that he doesn’t care whether people want to gamble with their funds with each other.
These points outlined by the Dogecoin Creator clearly show a mirror to that community that many people are getting crazy because of many meme coins like Shiba Inu, Dogelon, safemoon etc.
In actual reality, all of such coins are tokens, which are made on the existing blockchain Network-based smart contract system. But Dogecoin is a real coin, which is operating on the same technology at which Bitcoin is working and have its own blockchain Network.
