Elon Musk’s Doge-1 satellite will be launched by 2023

After a long time, Doge-1 satellite news again surfaced in the crypto sector, following a year’s delay. 

Dogecoin is a popular Proof-of-work (PoW) model-based crypto network. Initially, Dogecoin was launched as a meme coin in 2013 i.e. no use case. In late 2019, Tesla CEO Elon Musk jumped in support of this coin, and now to this date many companies in this world are using Dogecoin as their alternative payment option. 

In Mid of 2021, Elon Musk said that his private satellite company SpaceX will launch Doge-1 satellite to the moon in 2022. 

After this tweet, Musk never talked about this plan, and also people forgot to talk about Musk’s promise. 

On 25 April 2023, A Dogecoin fan took to Twitter to inform the Dogecoin community that Doge-1 is a mission aboard a Falcon 9 Rocket that will liftoff from Florida & it will be independent of Starship tests on the Texas coast.

A Canadian company Geometric Energy (GEC) received full payment in Dogecoin to send a tiny satellite into lunar orbit to explore the moon & display ads that will be broadcast back to Earth. In short, Dogecoin will be advertised by GEC in space.

According to available information on the NASA website, the launch date of this satellite is June 2023. 

In late 2021, Dogecoin fans claimed that SpaceX may Integrate Dogecoin blockchain network in the wireless internet satellite Starlink to allow Dogecoin transactions in any region of the world.
