Facebook’s cryptocurrency project Libra has launched its first roadmap. In the Roadmap, the Libra association explains the milestone the Calibra team plans to achieve before the mainnet launch of Libra blockchain.
The first milestone of Libra association is to bring on five partners that will run Libra full nodes. The goal of Libra association is to bring 100 partners that run the full nodes of Libra Network before mainnet launch.
The official announcement of the Libra Project by Facebook is in June. Since then developers are very active on Libra projects. Developers have launched many blockchain explorers (libranaut, libraview, librabrowser, and libexplorer).
Facebook Libra Testnet
The testnet of Facebook Libra is already released. The goal of testnet is to improve the stability of Libra core by making it easy to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software edge cases. The testnet provides developers with an environment to test their codes and add new features.
When the testnet is stable enough Libra mainnet will be launched. Anyone can track the progress of the Libra project on Github. Libra Association added:
“To help you better track development progress we’ve added a Kanban board (visualized task board) containing all major engineering priorities.”
For the mainnet launch, the Libra Association created an environment called the Pre-mainnet. Pre-mainnet provides a testing environment for the partners who have already deployed a full node. The environment will allow the nodes to communicate with each other and test the stability of the network.
