CZ says I got shot by FBI: Scam alert

Some bad actors are trying to shake the crypto market with the help of a fake news about Binance CEO & founder CZ. 

Changpeng Zhao (CZ) is the founder & CEO of the Binance Crypto exchange. Binance is the top-ranked crypto company in the crypto sector & more than 80% of crypto trade activities go through Binance services. Binance exchange is actively providing its services in all countries directly or via subsidiaries. 

On 3 March 2023, Changpeng Zhao informed his followers about a fake news, which is spreading in China rapidly. 

CZ noted that someone photoshopped a Twitter post & claimed that CZ was shot by the FBI agency. That edited photo is circulating in China via the giant Chinese social messaging platform WeChat. 

Binance CEO confirmed that the whole news is fake and also people needed to understand that the Binance team works with the FBI agency directly, so these reports are baseless. 

These people probably tried to manipulate the price of Binance coin (BNB), so that they can easily buy BNB at a low price. 

A Crypto Twitter user noted that a similar kind of incident happened in 2017 when some people tried to spread fake news about Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. Through the fake news, some people were claiming that Vitalik died in a car crash. At that time, Ethereum’s price plunged badly & those bad actors took advantage to buy Ethereum at a discounted price.

However, the Crypto sector runs on beliefs but people should remain away from scam activities because bad actors are continuously shifting their attention toward this sector to easily trick innocent & new investors.
