Ron DeSantis promised to support the crypto sector and ban the central form of the US dollar CBDC.
Ronald Dion DeSantis is a 45 years old American politician serving as the 46th governor of Florida since 2019 and a member of the Republican party. Nowadays DeSantis is busy representing himself as the best US presidential candidate ahead of the 2024 election.
On 31 July 2023, During a campaign event in New Hampshire, Florida’s Governor said that he is against the digital dollar (CBDC) concept and he has plans to ban CBDC currencies if he is selected in the US presidential election.
Furthermore, DeSantis said that he will also clamp down Biden’s crypto war. However he failed to mention the main points where he is against the Biden administration but some media reports claimed that DeSantis targeted US President Joe Biden for harsh tax policies against Bitcoin mining activities in the country as well as the Executive Order signed by Biden administration, which was also a very big burden on the crypto sector.
DeSantis dragged attention toward the digital dollar concept as a bad move. He compared digital dollar plans with China’s digital Yua.
According to DeSantis, the government could not be trusted to handle the potential rollout of a digital dollar.
DeSantis said that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) wants to make the economy fully cashless and also wants kickout cryptocurrencies but he will not allow them.
Some polls conducted by Media polls showed that DeSantis is a second top second dominating candidate in the US presidential election race.
It is worth it to note that the majority of the US presidential candidates are in support of cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin. They are openly saying that they will support the crypto-friendly bills & ban non-crypto-friendly bills, laws, and measures.
