Hinman document will likely be unsealed by June 13: XRP Lawsuit

Expert believes that the Hinman document will be unsealed within the next 30 days.

Ripple is a US-based crypto firm, which provides global payment services for small & big multinational companies. Since Dec 2020, this company has been in a legal dispute with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) because of a lawsuit, which was initiated by this US regulatory body against Ripple & its executives over the nature of XRP token.

On 19 May 2023, James Filan, a ex-federal prosecutor who has been closely monitoring the XRP Lawsuit development over the past couple of years shared the latest development in this case.

Filan confirmed that Ripple & the SEC body filed a joint letter in the court for a week extension so that both parties can file the cross-summary which possibly includes Hinman documents.

According to this pro-XRP Attorney, there are huge chances that Hinman’s document will likely be unsealed by June 13.

Further Filan confirmed that the court granted this joint request.

Hinman document

William Hinman is a former US SEC commissioner and he passed a statement in favor of Ethereum (ETH) as a non-security crypto token, 4 years ago.

The SEC body has documents related to Hinman’s speech about Ethereum & also other related emails. Ripple defensive lawyers believe that Hinman’s speech can be used to prove the XRP token as a non-security asset in the court easily.

Since late 2021, the SEC body is trying its best to keep those documents under a private domain.

Last week, the court judge rejected the SEC’s motion and ordered the publication of those documents in the case. After this court order, XRP supporters are in full confidence & expect Ripple will probably win the case against the SEC body.
