JPMorgan Chase Customer Robbed $300,000 At Bank Branch In Brooklyn

A JPMorgan Chase customer reportedly robbed of his $300,000 at the bank’s branch in Brooklyn immediately after withdrawing the cash.

The 31 year-old customer withdrew the huge sum from a teller and was robbed once he exited the bank’s front door, reports News 12.

Although the bank has not released a statement on the assault, it provided security footage from the branch showing the alleged robber, which authorities have now made public.

Police say the suspect “forcibly removed” the cash from the customer and rode away on a scooter.

Chase has not said whether it will reimburse the victim and the customer has not made any public statements on the incident, which happened last month.

The New York Police Department is asking anyone with information on what happened to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

Last year, Chase made headlines over new safety measures in New York City.

Amid a surge in crime, the banking giant said a “small number” of its ATMs in NYC would be switched off by 6:00 p.m. “due to rising crime and vagrancy that occurred in these previously 24/7 vestibules.”
