NVIDIA Exec says Crypto didn’t bring anything useful to society
Michael Kagan appreciated the increasing popularity of Artificial intelligence (AI) ChatBots and said that such innovations are better than crypto.
Nvidia Corporation is a US multinational technology company incorporated in Delaware and based in Santa Clara, California. This company is a dominant supplier of artificial intelligence (AI) hardware and software. The past few years showed that the company showed a very negative stance over the crypto mining sector. To complete the need for GPU products, this company restricted crypto mining via its gpu units through a software release in 2021.
On 26 March 2023, NVIDIA’s Chief Technology Officer, Michael Kagan spoke with The Guardian. Kagan said that company took an anti-crypto supportive decision because cryptocurrencies are not worthy over the AI applications like the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT.
Kagan also compared Cryptocurrencies with highly speculation-based markets. He noted that the crypto sector used products of this company in the past at a very high level but Nvidia’s products are not focused on this speculative asset class industry.
The report noted that this company recently sold more than 10,000 of NVIDIA’s AI-focused processors to Microsoft and Amazon for their respective cloud computing services.
Crypto sector & AI
In the last couple of months, the majority of the crypto projects showed their Inclination toward Artificial intelligence (AI) focussed tools. Some crypto projects started to bring AI technology-based tools into the Defi protocols to prohibit the bad actors’ activities without I’d proof.
Because of the surging competition among global companies over AI chatbot & tools development, Tesla CEO Elon Musk also showed his interest in AI.
On 3 March 2023, Tesla’s CEO said that earlier he was interested in Cryptocurrencies but now he is excited to look into the AI sector.
