U-turn of OpenSea to its imposed limit on NFTs minting tool (updated)

OpenSea platform decided to take its decision back to its recent decision of limit on the free NFTs minting tool. 

OpenSea is a top NFTs marketplace. This platform facilitated the top highest trading value in terms of NFTs trading in 2022. The majority of the NFTs projects are choosing OpenSea as the best option for their NFTs collections. 

On 27 January, OpenSea announced that the platform decided to bring limits to its users. And under the new limit users will be able to mint a maximum of 50 items per collection. 

After this announcement, many users criticized this new policy of the OpenSea platform. Few users said that the OpenSea platform is trying to do monopoly because of its position at top in the industry. And few users claimed that they are moving to another platform because of such limitations. 

After huge criticism, OpenSea responded and explained why it took this decision for its users. 

Through the tweet thread, platform said that people were misusing the platform and its free NFTs mint tool, so it was necessary to bring a limit for the users. But now OpenSea decided to take decision back and platform will work on new measures to fight against the bad actors.

Besides these explanations, OpenSea sent mail to its users and suggested canceling their old minted NFTs to remain away from any attack of bad actors to buy at old listing price. 

In 2022, OpenSea grabbed around 646 times more sales of the NFTs collectibles on the platform. OpenSea saw $21.7 million in sales in 202, while this sale surged and grabbed around $260 million worth of sales in 2021.
