Allegedly, Stephen Akridge misappropriated their ex-spouse’s millions of dollars of crypto investment gains.
Solana is a popular Proof-of-Stake (PoS) Cryptocurrency. Stephen Akridge, Anatoly Yakovenko and Raj Gokal are co-founders of the Solana blockchain network. Stephen Akridge played a key role in developing the blockchain platform alongside co-founders. Currently, Akridge is CEO of a cybersecurity firm, Cyber Grant.
After 10 years of marriage, the couple (Akbridge & Elisa Rossi) filed for divorce in February 2023. As per the latest report by Bloomberg News, Rossi’s filed a lawsuit against Akbridge and alleged a breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and financial fraud. Through the suit, Rossi seeks compensation for the damages for the financial losses she faced because of Akbridge.
However, no one talked about this lawsuit publicly, but reportedly, Rossi claims that Akridge used his advanced experience in crypto to siphon off staking rewards from her crypto wallet. Because of such activity, Rossi lost millions of dollars worth of income because of Akbridge’s control of her wallet.
The complaint also noted that Rossi alleged that Akridge controlled her crypto wallet from March to mid-May and stole 100% of the staking reward allocated to her SOL holdings.
It is worth it to note that currently, the exact amount of Solana coin is not mentioned in the lawsuit, but Rossi described the sums as “significant” and wants to keep the amount confidential to the public.
Some crypto enthusiasts shared views on this legal dispute over crypto staking reward funds and said that people also should take the private key & wallet phrase back up in their own hands instead of any other person. No matter who is right here but people should learn from this situation & follow fundamentals to remain away from any kind of risk.
