Finally the wait is over for the Telegram token. A report by New York Times shows that Telegram native token GRAM will be distributed among the users in batches. The first batch will be released before 31st October.
This is great news from Telegram because there are many rumours that the Telegram initialICO was cancelled. An unofficial report says that Telegram has the hard deadline of 31 October to deliver the tokens, if Telegram fails to do this the amount raised in public sale ($1.7 billion) will be seized legally.
According to the New York Times report, the 31 October deadline is real according to the legal documents so Telegram need to distribute tokens before 31st October.
Users can store the GRAM tokens into a digital wallet one that Telegram looking to launch soon for its 300 million users according to insiders information.
It’s interesting to see how regulators will deal with the GRAM tokens as Telegram itself is a decentralised messaging application and not have good past with governments.
