Tesla may resume Bitcoin payments soon

Tesla’s SEC filing revealed that the Tesla company has plans to accept crypto payments in near future. 

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla & SpaceX, is a popular leader of the crypto industry, especially for DogeCoin. Elon Musk is popularly known for his tweets about DogeCoin and his support of the crypto industry. 

Recently Tesla company submitted its filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. Through the filing, the Tesla company revealed that they have plans to accept crypto payments again in future. 

The filing also clearly says that the company believes in crypto & also they believe that future payments will rely on crypto payments. 

“We believe in the long term potential of digital assets both as an investment and also as a liquid alternative to cash.”

Tesla Suspended Bitcoin payment

At the beginning of this year, the Tesla company started to accept Bitcoin payments for their car products but later the company claimed that Bitcoin is responsible for huge carbon emissions and high transaction fees so the company will no longer accept Bitcoin payments. 

And five days later, Elon Musk stated that DogeCoin is a better option over Bitcoin & Tesla will accept DogeCoin instead of Bitcoin.

At that time, Elon Musk was criticized by the crypto players for passing bad statements on Bitcoin. Many people claimed that SpaceX companies’ rockets are responsible for huge carbon emissions & increasing footprint levels than why Elon Musk is not suspending SpaceX rocket & missile operations. 

After the huge controversy, Elon Musk said that Tesla will start to accept Bitcoin again when the majority of Bitcoin mining will rely on sustainable energy.
