The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a global non-govt and lobbying organisation. This organisation is based in Cologny, canton of Geneva, Switzerland. To establish this organisation, he grabbed funding support from its 1,000 member companies & the majority of which are global enterprises.

During the annual meeting event, the WEF showcased a prototype of its Metaverse platform “Global Collaboration Village”.

Through this Metaverse platform, members of this organisation can easily have conversations & hold meetings virtually, which will be more likely to a physical meeting.

WEF developed its Metaverse platform with the help of Microsoft and Accenture collaboration. So far, more than 80 organisations signed up as a partner in this project. Alternatively, we can say that WEF’s Metaverse platform is getting significant sumeetingspport.

Klaus Schwab, the WEF’s founder and executive chairman, said that “Global Collaboration Village” will help to solve many virtual meeting challenges , as it is backed by huge numbers of partners.

“Supported by a unique range of partners from the public and private sectors, the Village will use the frontier capabilities of the metaverse to find solutions for addressing the big issues of our time in a more open, inclusive, and sustained way,” the WEF founder said.

Metaverse, Blockchain & Facebook

In 2021, Facebook rebranded its name to Meta and also revealed that the company filed for Metaverse-related trademarks. After the entry of Facebook in Metaverse project development, many other big companies showed their inclination toward this type of high-level virtual reality (VR) projects.

Experts believe that Cryptocurrencies & stablecoins may play an important role in the Metaverse to monetize the Metaverse world and blockchain technology can be used to process a high amount of data so that people can get a better level of experience.
