Ukraine’s authority encountered illegal crypto exchanges

Ukraine’s state level security authorities encountered a crypto exchange which was involved in illegal activities because of their anonymous transaction services. 

Ukraine’s authorities are working on the crypto related frame-work to adopt the use of digit assets perfectly in the practical life, so Ukraine officials are working deeply in this matter to perfectly regulate the whole crypto ecosystem. Recently they also announced a rule to allow crypto payment facilities across the country. The Security Service of Ukraine busted many illegal crypto services since the beginning of 2021. Now again they busted an exchange on Wednesday.

According to the statement by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on Wednesday, SBU encountered a clandestine cryptocurrency exchange which was based in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. 

SBU said that, Clandestine exchange processed around $1.1 million fund in a month. The fund was involved in criminal activities. It is not confirmed whether the exchange was involved in the criminal activities or not but the exchange was providing anonymous transaction services which lead to illicit financial activity including Money Laundering also. 

Also few individuals were using the exchange’s services to collect the fund to push anti government protests in the country. According to the security officers, the funds came from those e-wallet which were banned by the Government of Ukraine. These wallets are Qiwi, WebMoney and Yandex.
