Ukrainian minister urges crypto exchanges to ban Russian users

The prime minister of Ukraine requested crypto exchanges to stop the transactions of Russians on their exchanges.

Today is the fifth day of Russia vs Ukraine fight and in this situation, Ukraine is showing its better aggression against Russia because of its citizens’ mental support. Experts believe that Russia is not using its actual potential, instead trying to hit Ukraine with its smallest efforts. The latest reports also noted that Russia may plan to attack Ukraine through Nuclear weapons. 

On 27 February, Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, wrote a request to all crypto exchanges to block the addresses of Russians on their platforms. 

Fedorov also asserted to block not only Russian & Belarusian related addresses of Politicians but also to block the citizens to block Russian based every crypto payment or transaction. 

Kraken CEO Jesse Powell also shared his stance on such things. Powell said that the exchange can’t take any action against Russian users without any order or legal requirements. 

Kraken’s CEO also hinted that such legal orders may come into existence for Russian users. 

Ban of Russian media channels 

In the present time broadcasting of Russian media platforms also has been banned by almost every platform. Even YouTube restricted the local news media channels on the platform for all non-Russian countries. 

In response Russian president Putin urged YouTube to unblock to allow the world to see what is going on in Russia under these situations.

Facebook, Google platforms took an instantaneous stand on Russian-related activities. Facebook restricted many Russian state media accounts and also restricted ads of Russian states.
