US DOJ planning to levy fraud charges against Binance

Reportedly the US DOJ was planning to initiate a lawsuit action against the Binance crypto exchange.

Binance is a top-ranked crypto exchange, thanks to its highly secured crypto services. 2023 brought huge numbers of legal hurdles in several jurisdictions for this crypto exchange. A couple of months ago, the US Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) sued BinanceUS & Binance global exchange. In the present time, only a limited service of this exchange is available in the US and that is not enough for this platform to survive.

On 2 August 2023, Some media reports claimed that the U.S. Department of Justice was planning to impose fraud charges against the Binance crypto exchange but later discussion suggested not to take this step, as it will bring a very bad situation for the crypto sector and also may result into the very bad financial position of this exchange, just like FTX crypto Exchange.

So there are huge chances that the US DOJ may offer some fines in the form of penalty over violation of several laws in the US jurisdiction.

Some crypto Twitter users claimed that such media reports are based on assumptions & no truth or fact supporting such claims.

A crypto Twitter user claimed that US government agencies will never care about the future of the crypto sector, as they only tried to impose negative pressure on the crypto sector in the past several times.

Following this news, the trade price of the majority of the flagship crypto assets plunged badly.

Because of this news, the trade price of Binance coin (BNB) plunged 3.8% within a couple of hours but later recovered, as soon as people realized that US DOJ officials are not in the mood to take very strict action against the crypto exchange.
