YouTube plans to allow creators to engage with fans via NFTs

The giant social video platform is looking at NFTs integration, to give advanced features to the YouTube Creators.

It took around 2-3 years for NFTs in the crypto industry. In the very starting, NFTs entered the crypto industry to show a unique concept use of blockchain technology but later it turned into something to an advanced level of use case. At present, experts are looking to integrate blockchain NTFs technology with real-life properties and House ownership systems. 

Before this no one expected that Google-like giant companies may enter into NFTs support and adoption. 

On 10 February, Through a blog post, YouTube confirmed its plan to go with the NFTs integration to support the creators to go with the next level engagement program with their viewers. 

Neal Mohan, Chief product officer at YouTube, noted that YouTube is planning to provide huge varieties of Web3 tech, blockchain, NFTs, and the Metaverse support in 2022. 

Mohan also stated that YouTube always keeps working based on community recommendations and here YouTube also tries its best to provide new additional support and services to the two million partnered creators.

YouTube Product Officer also noted that such integration of Web3 & NFTs in YouTube to allow the creators to build a deeper relationship with the fans and audiences. And also these will help creators to connect with fans with new projects. 

“Web3 also opens up new opportunities for creators. We believe new technologies like blockchain and NFTs can allow creators to build deeper relationships with their fans. Together, they’ll be able to collaborate on new projects and make money in ways not previously possible.”

Mohan also confirmed that creators will be able to use the NFTs technology to tokenize their videos and contents on the platform. He further stated that YouTube will first handle the matter of Gaming creators on YouTube for this new initiative, however, he didn’t hint at any details on such initiatives but it sounds that YouTube may introduce Virtual reality-based systems like Metaverse with gaming channels. 

“We couldn’t have a piece about innovation without touching on the Metaverse! We’re thinking big about how to make viewing more immersive. The first area in which you can expect to see an impact in gaming, where we’ll work to bring more interactions to games and make them feel more alive.”
