The Newzealand based cryptocurrency exchange Cryptopia has started the live trading in 40 pairs. The 40 pairs wallets are secured successfully and no loss to the cryptocurrency hodlers. Here is the list of live trading pairs.
Cryptopia management team is working hard to expand the live trading list. The withdrawals and deposits are not open however users can trade and place orders with the funds on the exchange.
Users can check the status of coins on the exchange. Coins that are in offline mode are not checked yet. Coins that shows in maintenance means the funds are secured to new wallets. You can check the number of funds by clicking on the maintenance button.
Cryptopia Updates for Funds
The coins are migrating to new cold wallets for better security and 35% of the total funds are successfully migrated to the new wallet. The withdrawals are enabling after the process of migration is complete.
Rumours spreading on social media that the drama is an exit scam. Cryptopia assured users via a mail that the exchange will reopen shortly much bigger and better.
After the hack, the exchange is opened for users in read-only mode. The balance is shown the same as on 14 January. Misfortunately if your coins are lost in the hack you can see the withdrawal history and find the amount you lost. The transaction hash id is not available in the withdrawal history.
The exchange will deposit a Cryptopia Loss Maker (CLM) equivalent to every withdrawal. CLM is not trading now however the exchange team said they will try to go with legal ways to minimize the losses of users.
Cryptopia advised users to change the passwords and 2fa security codes for better security of the funds. Those who are facing problems in changing the password and 2fa can submit a ticket here.
The exchange was hacked back on 14 January where hackers stole more than $16 million. More than 10,000 Ethereum wallets are affected by the hack.
