World’s first crypto stamp has been launched by the post service of Austria country reported on 11 June 2019.
As per the report, the crypto stamp is verifiable through blockchain technology, and the first generated 150,000 copies sold at € 6.90 apiece by the Austrian post service.
Basically, the crypto stamp has two parts where the left part is stylized with a unicorn connected with Ethereum that act as a standard for crypto stamp used for sending mail. Whereas the right part has some credentials info that can be used to verify the crypto collectible via blockchain.
The report says that the Crypto stamp is not only to carriage the postal items but can also be used as a stamp, on the other side it is also a virtual collector’s item. The different type of decentralized data storage technique based on blockchain technology is used to store digital data of the crypto stamp.
