Google is moving toward the blockchain industry with its newly established team.
The whole world knows very well about Google. Google is a giant internet company. However, the internet is available to use for people openly but the majority of the best beneficial internet services are under Google. In the past few years, Google showed rude behaviour toward crypto-related advertisements because of the involvement of bad actors and misleading crypto-related advertisements.
On 27 January, Google Cloud announced its newly-established blockchain and digital assets team.
Through the blog, Google cloud confirmed that the Google cloud ecosystem will cover a favourable environment for blockchain-related development and other needs.
Yolande Piazza, Google Cloud’s vice president of Financial Services, stated on this new move of GoogleCloud.
“This new team will enable our customers to accelerate their efforts in this emerging space and help underpin the blockchain ecosystems of tomorrow.”
The blog noted that Google cloud’s blockchain team will also provide distributed ledger solutions and for this Google cloud already integrated the resources like Hedera, Theta Labs, and Dapper Labs in the past.
This latest announcement by Google cloud also revealed that the newly established team will also figure out the based method or possible ways to accept payments in cryptocurrencies.
Earlier this, Google hired Arnold Goldberg, a former executive of giant payment network firm PayPal. And the goal of that hiring was to examine how Google can work to accept payments in digital assets.
Google’s YouTube gaming head going in the crypto industry
On 25 January, Ryan Wyatt, head of YouTube gaming, officially announced on Twitter that he will resign from YouTube and he will join Polygon Studios, a subsidiary of Polygon network.
These things are showing that Google needed to introduce blockchain and crypto-related startups and services in its ecosystem. Otherwise, Google may remain behind with its traditional tech innovations.
