Bitmain a Hong-Kong based mining giant announced next-generation 7nm ASIC chips which achieve new performance milestones.

More efficient and smaller chip area for the mining of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) that uses SHA256 algorithm for Proof of Work (PoW) blockchains.

BM1397 chips have a new chip methodology and have world-leading 7nm semiconductor. The next generation of ASIC chips enables faster and cheaper mining for cryptocurrencies.

The new chips require lower power and can deliver an energy consumption to computing ratio as low as 30J/TH. The new chips are 28.6 percent more power efficient as compared to the older 7nm BM1397 chips.

Bitmain engineering team has thoroughly customised the chip design to optimise its architecture, circuits and economics. The chip is made using TSMC’s 7nm FinFET process.

Bitmain is continuously developing high-performance computing chips and contributing to the crypto market. Bitmain chips enable anyone anywhere in the world to mine cryptocurrencies. The aim of the next generation ASIC chips is to set a new benchmark for the ASIC standards.

The new BM1397 chips will be available in the Antminer new models S17 and T17 that will be announced later by Bitmain.

Bitmain the Hong-Kong founded in 2013 by Jihan Wu, Micree Zhan. Bitmain leads the industry in the production of integrated chips for the mining of cryptocurrencies, as well as mining hardware brand name Antminer.

Bitmain operates the largest mining pools including Antpool and BTC.com.
